They might question your commitment and reliability, which could make it challenging to secure positions requiring long-term dedication. An early rise may seem tempting, but true leadership is built through navigating challenges and earning trust over time. For example, Satya Nadella’s consistency at Microsoft has been key to his success. Joining the company in 1992, he steadily rose through the ranks, demonstrating adaptability and innovation. His focus on empathy and a growth mindset became evident when he became CEO in 2014, advocating for a culture of learning and experimentation. This consistency has driven Microsoft’s transformation toward cloud computing and AI, helping it regain a competitive edge.
