In life, we all have those moments where we feel that we have failed. Some people come out of this feeling, and some people get caught with this feeling. Here are 10 was to overcome the fear of failure.
1. Self belief
When you have the fear of failure, you don’t believe in yourself. SO stop committing this sin. Remember if you are not going to believe in yourself nobody else is going to believe you.
2. Regrets are worse than failures
Ok you tried something and you failed in that. So what? Why regret over the failure. By regretting you won’t be able to change it. If you really want to change something, then get up and work towards improving things.
3. Identify the root cause
Identify the root cause of your fear of failure. Why you are afraid of trying. Did you go through a bad experience in the past? Or you feel that things will become worst if you fail ? Ask yourself why you are not trying enough.
4. Keep your eyes on the goal
When working towards a goal do not let the negative thoughts come in your mind. Do not constantly nag yourself with questions like what if I fail? What if this happens? What if that happens? If you want to be a true champion, then you have to build mental toughness and prepare for the best.
5. You cannot Predict future but you can certainly create it
You cannot predict what will happen in the future, but you can certainly work towards creating it. You want to lose weight, get through a top college or get that dream job, you will have to work towards achieving it. Prepare for the best and you will surely make things happen.
6. Trust your inner guide
When you desperately want something, your inner conscience lets you know that. But again wanting something and working to achieve something are two different things. So trust your inner guide but also work towards your goal.
7. Never say Never
So what you tried in the past and failed? Time & circumstances always change. Take your failure as an opportunity, improve yourself. Instead of quitting improve yourself and try again. This time try again with more efforts and better efforts.
8. Change your perception
Sometimes we fail to see the other side of the story. Your perception of your goal might be that it is too tough. It is too costly or it is out of reach. But ask yourself are you the only one who faces the same challenge? There are many people like you who have same circumstances or worst circumstances than you but still they achieve their goals. The reason is in the perception. As a famous quote says ‘He who says he can, and he who says he can’t, are both right’
9. Challenge yourself
Sometimes because of the fear of failure, we get into a comfort zone. We stop pushing ourselves and just close ourselves to any difficulty. If you want to be a true winner and a true champion, you will have to face the problem upfront. Running away from the problem is not the solution but facing it is.
10. Patience and faith are your best friends
Now great achievement is possible with small effort. You need to put effort constantly and push yourself constantly. Great things will take time to happen so be patient and have faith. Have faith in your abilities and in your efforts. If you feel that your efforts are not optimum then increase it but be persistent and have faith in yourself.
